The Lasso Gables family was involved in wine making about 30 years ago, that activity was discontinued but growing vineyards was always performed (the grapes were sold to local producers).

Nowadays this family business has been restarted in the same place where it was established 30 years ago but in a new modern facility.

The philosophy behind this project is to make a range of wines with the vineyards owned by the family and located only a fee minutes away from the wine cellar. This way will make it possible to obtain the quality that the family wants to obtain as expression of this unique location.

The soil is a mix in different share (chalk, sandy and clay). Because of the richness of the soil and the strength of the vine plants, some vineyards have autochthonous herbs during the whole year.

We have taken care about the vineyards, balanced vineyards produce balanced wine. Our plants are grown using the organic Spanish rules since 2004.

The wine cellar has been designed to avoid the use of pumps. The fermentation has been performed with autochthonous yeast.

Casa Gran has 5 different varieties in order obtain complexity of flavors by blending. The local varieties are “garnish winterer” and “minstrel”. The foreign varieties are merlot, syrah and cabernet. There are some other varieties already planted but not available for the moment.
